This one-day workshop is intended for all teachers of French, German

and Spanish - from Heads of Department to NQTs who are keen to

sharpen their preparation for the new examination scheduled for

Summer 2018.

Aims of the course are to:

• What is new and what is unchanged: overview of the specifications

• What the different exam boards offer

• Which exam board is best for you?

• How to approach Translation

• How to prepare for the Speaking Exam

• How to get the necessary number of words from struggling

students (Writing)

• How to change Ds to Cs and As to A*s

• Example of work at every grade.

• On arrival, delegates will receive a folder containing materials

which will be of immediate practical benefit in the classroom.

Terry has been a teacher for 28 years – in three schools one of which was inner-city - and a Head of Languages for 18. He has many years of experience as Chief Examiner, Principal Examiner, Principal Moderator for Coursework and a Consultant for QCA. Terry’s writing credits include 21 books on MFL including very well known revision guides for French and Spanish GCSE.
