Working with Autistic Students in Colleges | Lighthouse Professional Development

Working with Autistic Students in Colleges

Course code:
SIX007
At the end of the course, you will have an idea of how people on the Autistic Spectrum perceive the world, and how this provides us with challenges in the way we work with them - how does Autism really affect our students' lives?

You'll be able to describe the characteristics and behaviour of this group, explain the difference between Autism and Asperger's syndrome, and be in a position to develop your own working practices. The programme is designed to provide you with some strategies and ideas for working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, and improve your confidence in working with them.
