SEN and Inclusion: Teaching Strategies to Support Students with Insecure Attachment Related Disorders

Course code:
SEN017
Within the classroom setting insecure attachment related behaviours may manifest themselves as an avoidant, ambivalent or disorganised response on the part of the student to learning, teaching relationships and general communication.

This course uses a case study approach to look closely at these responses and the reasons for them. It offers participants tried and tested teaching strategies to support the positive learning experiences of students who react in this way and it gives top tips on how staff working alongside these kinds of behaviours can maintain a positive and supportive approach even in times of difficulty. The trainer refers to current practical research to support its content.
