Technicians in schools have to juggle a heavy workload whilst being asked to fulfill other roles for a variety of people. This course was requested by technicians attending the successful "Management Skills for Technicians" CPD day and aims to make life easier both for technicians and those that work around them - helping ease stress for all.
This interactive course is based around communication and time management skills, so the technician feels more in control of their workload and more relaxed (thus becoming more effective).
The aims of the course are to:
* identify what wastes time and how to overcome this
* increase prioritisation skills
* explore strategies for decreasing stress
* understand the difference between aggression, passivity and assertiveness
* learn how to say no without feeling guilty
* feel more confident when giving or receiving criticism
* learn how to deal with manipulation
