The course will look briefly at the history, science and contemporary approaches to pinhole photography, and delegates will learn how, at a minimal expense, students can make and use their own wide-angle pinhole camera out of discarded objects. They will then use this wide-angle camera, with a combination of traditional and digital techniques, to create positive black and white images.
How these cameras can be adapted to create long duration exposures, will be covered, showing the sun tracking across the sky for up to six months. As well as this the delegates will be shown how to make a simple but highly effective semi permanent camera obscura for their school.
