This course will focus on the practice of teaching citizenship at Key Stage 3 and enable non-specialist citizenship teachers to develop exceptional teaching and learning activities in their classrooms to excite and motivate their pupils. The course will look at how non specialist teachers can develop a greater appreciation of Citizenship and its value and place in the school curriculum.

The course will be practical to the everyday classroom and explore many innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning to move towards highly effective citizenship teaching. It will explore schemes of work, teaching and learning methods, lesson content and assessment opportunities - all with focus to raise the quality of the provision of citizenship curriculum and student performance and enjoyment.
