For most delegates this will be the first time that they have learned about grammar in their own language (rather than through French, German or Spanish studies). Delegates will learn about how language study has changed in the last 30 years, and is now concerned with exploring and probing, rather than being focused on 'rules' and 'correctness'.
Teachers will be shown how to introduce this area of learning into their classroom enabling, in turn, their students to be more aware of language and to take greather control of it in their writing. Teachers will also have another way of supporting their learners in analysing texts. It will change the way language is talked about in English lessons.
