How effective is the Student Voice in your school?
Course code:
LEAD052
Many schools claim to have effective student voice structures and strategies. On closer inspection these can often be found to be seriously tokenistic. This course will look at how Student Voice initiatives can meet the rigorous inspection that they now receive and how schools can benefit from stronger Student Voice structures.
The course will begin with Student Councils and move through students as co-researchers on to students as learning partners. The day will allow colleagues to plan initiatives and structures for their own schools with real examples of how best practice has benefited a number of schools around the UK. Training materials will be provided for schools to develop students as learning partners - enabling them to play a full part in lesson observations.
