The course will examine the new German specification at AS and A2 and reflect on the implications for planning and teaching. It will offer ideas to help bridge the gap between GCSE and A level and suggest ways to prepare A2 pupils for the second stage of their course.
The course will consider the skills pupils require to be successful at AS and A2 and offer practical examples in the four skill areas to motivate and develop learners at this level. It will look at different ways a department and individual teachers can support students to become more confident and independent. Delegates will also take away ideas on how to use assessment and feedback to ensure students' progress.

The aims of the course are to:
