This course seeks to give practical insight into ways to boost numbers in Key Stage 4 Geography. The day will provide opportunities to consider the current issues surrounding take up of Key stage 4 Geography at GCSE level.

In order to move a department forward in boosting Key Stage 4, a lot depends on a solid foundation at Key Stage 3. The course considers ways to make Geography motivating and fun to encourage uptake at Key Stage 4. The organisation and development planning surrounding a dynamic and successful Key Stage 4 programme will be considered. The course will examine ways to raise the profile of geography and how to evaluate the impact of the provision in the department.
